  • The course combines conceptual knowledge with a strongly practical approach so that each participant can transfer what they learn directly to their own educational context.

Competencies Participants Will Develop:

  • Use digital and AI tools critically, autonomously andresponsibly.
  • Understand the fundementals of generatibe AI and formulate effective instructions using promptengineering techniques.
  • Evaluate information, digital sources and AI-generated content, identifying errors, bias and possible manipulation.
  • Design workflows that combine AI, digital tools and automation to improve productivity.
  • Create educational content in different formats: text, images, presentations, audio and video.
  • Design activities, materials, assessments and adaptations supported by AI.
  • Protect personal and professional data and adopt good cybersecurity practices.
  • Communicate effectively and manage professional identity and reputation in digital environments.
  • Analyse the ethical and social implications of AI and technology in education.
  • Develop continuous learning strategies to adapt to technological change.

Methodology & Assessment:

A Practical, Hands-On Learning Experience

This course follows a learning-by-doing methodology in which practical experience takes priority overtheoretical instruction. Each session begins with a brief conceptual introduction, followed by demonstrations, interactive exercises and guided workshops. Participants work directly with digital applications and AI tools on realistic educational and professional challenges.

Minimal theory, maximum practice: Essential concepts are introduced briefly and immediately applied in practical exercises.

Learning through experimentation: Participants test approaches, identify mistakes and find solutions through guided exploration.

Real-world applications: Tasks include information management, professional communication, secure digital practices and educational resource creation.

Critical thinking and autonomy: Participants assess reliability, limitations and risks, and learn to make independent decisions.

Progressive project development: Each participant builds a Personal Digital & AI Project adapted to their professional context across the five days.

Indicative learning balance: approximately 80% hands-on activities, workshops and project work; 20% brief conceptual explanations and demonstrations. For 25 contact hours, this represents approximately 20 practical hours and 5 hours of theory and demonstration.

Assessment:

Assessment is continuous, formative and focused on practical application; there is no traditional final examination. It is based on workshop participation, completion of exercises, effective and responsible use of digital and AI tools, and the presentation of the final project.

Core Learning Principle: Learn by doing, understand by experimenting, and develop the confidence to use technology independently.

Essential Digital Skills Tools

Application Practical use
Gmail / Outlook https://mail.google.com/ Email structure (To, CC, BCC), subject lines, attachments, signatures, filters, folders, calendar and phishing awareness.

Day 1 — Digital Thinking & Artificial Intelligence

  • Unit 1 — Digital Thinking, Literacy & the AI-Augmented World
  • Unit 2 — Artificial Intelligence & Prompt Engineering
The course begins by establishing a shared framework. Participants analyse how the digital ecosystem has changed with generative AI and learn to critically evaluate information, sources and digital content. They then move into the practical foundations of AI: what it can and cannot do, main types of assistants, comparison of tools and the fundamentals of prompt engineering. Practical work: Critical analysis of information and initial tasks with different AI assistants. Progressive construction and refinement of prompts. Guiding question: How does AI change the way we think, learn and teach?

Day 2 — AI for Productivity & Educational Design

  • Unit 3 — AI-Powered Productivity & Digital Workflows
  • Unit 4 — AI-Assisted Educational Design
The second day brings AI into real professional work. Participants learn to use it for research, information organisation, document summarisation, knowledge management and the reduction of repetitive tasks. These capabilities are then transferred to education: lesson planning, activities, didactic units, assessment, rubrics and adaptation of materials. Practical work: Design of a personal working system and the beginning of the educational project that will be developed throughout the course. Guiding question: What should we delegate to technology — and what should remain human?

Day 3 — Creating with AI

  • Unit 5 — Digital & AI Content Creation
A full day dedicated to creation. Participants experiment with generative AI to produce and transform text, images, presentations, audio and video, applying these capabilities to real educational needs. The aim is not only to learn tools, but to develop editorial and visual judgment: choosing the right format, evaluating quality, identifying problems and improving AI-generated outputs. Practical work: Creation of a set of multimodal resources to be integrated into the personal project. Guiding question: What makes AI-generated content genuinely useful for learning?

Day 4 — Communication, Digital Identity & Continuous Learning

  • Unit 6 — Digital Communication & Professional Identity
  • Unit 8 — Adaptability, Continuous Learning & Digital Change
The fourth day broadens the focus from tools to professional presence and adaptability. Participants work on communication in digital environments, professional identity and reputation, channel selection and the use of AI as a communication support. The second part explores how to learn technology sustainably: discovering tools, evaluating them, adopting them when they add value and discarding them when they do not. Barriers and opportunities involved in introducing new technologies into educational organisations are also analysed. Practical work: Construction of a personal strategy for continuous learning and technological adaptation. Guiding question: How can we stay relevant without chasing every new technology?

Day 5 — Cybersecurity, Ethics & Real-World Implementation

  • Unit 7 — Cybersecurity, Privacy & Responsible AI
The final day addresses the conditions required to use everything learned during the week safely and responsibly. Participants review digital security habits, privacy, data protection, authentication, phishing and sensitive information management. The course then examines AI-specific risks including hallucinations, bias, privacy, intellectual property, technological dependency and human responsibility. The day concludes by integrating the week’s learning and presenting the projects developed during the course. Practical work: Creation of a personal security and responsible AI-use plan, followed by presentation of the final project. Guiding question: How can we use digital technology and AI without giving up security, responsibility or human judgment?

Course Thread — Personal Digital & AI Project

The five days are designed as a connected learning journey rather than five independent workshops.

Throughout the week, each participant will develop a Personal Digital & AI Project adapted to their own professional context.

The project will progressively integrate critical thinking, AI use and prompting, productivity, educational design, multimodal resources, security, ethics, implementation and a strategy for continuous learning.

Core Learning Question

How can we use digital tools and artificial intelligence in a critical, productive, secure an responsible way?
